The Prairie State Energy Campus provided an overview of developments and initiatives for 2022 at their campus in Washington County, Illinois.
The report highlights achievements in line with their core values: safety, teamwork, accountability, and sustainability. Among those highlights are:
- Zero lost-time incidents in 2022 for the second consecutive year. Team achieved CORESafety Certification for its fourth year.
- In 2022, Prairie State’s beneficial reuse rate of gypsum rose above 50%, and 93% of their fly ash was beneficially reused.
- 2022 power generation of over 11.6 million net megawatt hours
- 2022 coal production of over 6.5 million tons; 8.8 tons per underground labor hour
