Police Department

The Batavia Police Department comprises 41 full-time, sworn police officers as well as 12 civilian employees, both full- and part-time. The Police Department provides law enforcement services and police protection through the following:

  • Community Relations Programs
  • Crime Prevention
  • Criminal Investigations
  • Juvenile Services
  • Patrol
  • Records Management
  • School Resource Officers
  • Traffic Accident Investigations
  • Traffic Enforcement

The department is housed in the historic Batavia Government Center building located on the west bank of the Fox River.

Internet Purchase Exchange Location

The City of Batavia has added another designated area for internet purchases. We have designated the west City Hall parking lot and lobby for these purposes. Both are monitored with 24/7 video surveillance. Please see the attached picture for location description. If you have any questions, as always you can reach us 24/7 at (630) 454-2500.

Remember, if someone doesn’t want to meet you at the PD, it may be a red flag and you may not want to do business with this person. Safety first!
